Mines woodDepends on the type of coop.
Mine is resine, so I pressure wash it and air dry it with a leaf blower.

Warping, mold, softening, rotting over time. Metal may rust.
So just depends on what you need.
I have a bad back, so this method helps best. But if you feel it’s going to last you another few years, and you can fix damages or whatever, it’s your call.
