Pretend eating??

Hen that "pretends" to eat, pecks but doesn't actually pick anything up? Does anyone know the cause of this? Had this in a few of our hens, almost like they are delusional.

Hi there!

I know that sometimes they peck through their feed in hopes to find some grub or something even more enticing, and then end up eating their feed anyway.

I wouldn't worry, they will eat the feed.
