I have never had a dog pre-tested prior to anesthesia and never had a problem. My new dogs are different though. They are Anatolian Shepherds, a breed known to sometimes be sensitive to anesthesia. Prior to their sedation for OFA xrays, I will pay the $$ to get them tested, just to be safe.
