Oh yes, they really do. They are funnier, more fun, more trainable, and smarter. The only reason people don’t like them is because they crow. That is unfair!

I personally like a rooster’s crow! Especially when it’s a youngster just learning

Dot - My splash Silkie hen. I won her in an auction. Seller is a breeder in Missouri. When I saw her I thought it is a good thing I just got paid because I am not going to lose her lol!!! I even set my timer on my microwave so i could bid at the last second lol!!! Unfortunately she still doesn’t like to be held.

This is Harley... he was born/hatched Christmas morning as Holly. I went out to the coop to let my Silkies out...and was met with a baby!!!

He is sooooo loveable, I pick him up and he immediately cuddles up under my chin and lays his head on my shoulder...unfortunately he isn’t as lovable to the ladies. He had to be evicted from the flock. He now free ranges until bedtime and then into his own dog cage. My red Partridge Roo takes very good care of the ladies...but isn’t as lovable.

Hopefully Harley will be able to rejoin the flock once his hormones level out. They are both very special in their own way.
