This person has been hanging around for a few days - we are very rural, but my hubby says pigeon. I think dove 'cause there's a horse farm near us that may have hosted a wedding. We're near the beach, but it's not a seagull. Your thoughts, very learned ones?

It is a young pigeon, probably a homer. Wedding release "doves" are actually white homing pigeons.

Pigeons are doves, actually. The city pigeons are rock doves. Don't know if the ones called "pigeons" can interbreed with the ones called "doves" -- that's a question for a pigeon breeder -- but they all come from the same original group.
