Pretty girls (and boys) starting to feather out.

We're about to leave the cute little baby stage, and enter the half-feathered ugly little bird stage. I'm eager to get to the point where we can tell how many of each gender we have. I have 6 pullets (I hope) and 4 straight runs. I'm bracing myself for the possibility of 5 hens and 5 Roos. Yikes. Next year I'm buying sexed chicks only.

Silver Laced Wyandotte, Gold Laced Wyandotte, Rhode Island Red, and Americana (a cross between Ameracauna and Araucana).

We are just now entering this stage! I’m eager to see the end result.
