Someone gave me an LG incubator, fan and turning tray. Started about 12 EE eggs about 14 days ago. Then someone gave me another incubator with same set up but with a digital thermometer and hygrometer. So i put in 12 more eggs in this one in this incubator i Found the difference in the digital and mercury thermometer was 6 degrees, with digital showing 6 degrees lower than LG mercury. So called LG and asked how to calibrate. Said there was no way and they sent me another digital one at no cost.
Just in case, I ordered a Vicks digital temp and hygrometer. Today I put them all in the 2nd incubator. Guess what? The digitals all read the same and the mercury must be the one off
Same in both incubators. Been cooking too low. I've probably lost both batches I bet.
Incubator One is at day 14 today. The other one Is at the 5 day mark.
I haven't candled any eggs so I guess I'll just have to wait and see if anything at all hatches. Feeling pretty bummed right about now.
