Preventing rats in coop - question re floors

We have the attached feeder. So far, so good. I don't believe the rats can access the feed inside.

I bet if you set up a game cam, you'd find they are feasting at night.

Agree with aart. We stopped using the elbow feeders because the chipmunk and mice were getting inside it during the day (we remove feeder at night).

Very helpful, thank you! Our run abuts our coop, though - encircling the whole coop would require laying it in the run. Is that advised?

I have an apron around my entire setup, coop and run.

What DobieLover is saying is to include your coop and run inside the apron. Keep the critters out of all of it.
