Preventive Care

Hello to All,

I bring greeting to you all from Jamestown, SC. I am somewhat new at raising chickens. I have read alot of the posted messages that many of you listed and I am very thankful.

I would like to know if and what types of preventive measures should be taken with chickens as it relates worming medication or anything that should be given to prevent disease.

I have 20 barred rocks (15 pullets & 5 roos) that are 12 weeks old and they are just beautiful

. I just want to make sure that I am doing all that I am supposed to be doing to ensure their continued health and safety.

Some preventative things that I can think of...apple cider vinegar in the water, de (diamateous earth, food grade) in the feed, ground cayenne pepper in the feed. I know there's more, but that's all I can think of at the moment! hehe
