How much are you guys getting for a dozen of eggs.
I work at the farmers market and there's a lady there who sells about 10 dozen eggs each week. She sells a dozen for 5 dollars! and you know what? people flock to her when she gets there and she sells out in like 20 minutes.

I have seen farmers market eggs for 5 bucks a dozen here also. We sell ours for 3.00 and people don't hesitate to buy them. We do free range ours though and they DO like that and already said that is the reason they are willing to pay the extra. In Winter we give them all sorts of other food to make up for NO grass.

I have been giving mine away to friends and my son takes some to the firehouse...they love them there......I guess I should sell them

I am not getting that many eggs right now....I have 5 dominque hens and I average 2 eggs a day.....come spring I will get 2 dozen a day....

I'm looking at three bucks a doz. here. Farm fresh eggs were going for $4/doz until the economy tanked. In my neighborhood, I'm selling them for $2/doz. since they put up with the noise.

using todays exchange rate, we sell ours for about $4.50 per doz.

so two dozen a day
dozen for 5 dollars
10 dollars a day
lets say 2 dollar feed a day
10-2=8*356=2848$ a year-
even minus "life" in the equation and still 2000 a year.
I would say not bad for chickens

enought to pay for car insurance:D

$3.00 per doz and we sell out 15 doz. within an hour...and this is a small farmer's market.

I think with the price of feed, we are going to up to $4.00 per doz. That's how much they are in the store...and they aren't even fresh.

I sell mine in the UK for £2.50 per doz..and that is cheap..other people I know buy theirs for £3.00 per doz.....mine are fresher though! and I am now getting more customrs because the word is spreading!
