Price for Bob's?

Guess, I'm outrageous I sell mine for five bucks. I think it should be more. Seems to me the price should be based on their age like chickens. I would sell a laying pullet for more than a non laying pullet. The first time I bought chickens I bought 6 pullets that were 9 weeks old the lady charged me eight bucks each & then she charged me more for 4 more because they were 13 weeks. Not sure on the exact price its been awhile. But you see where I'm going with this.

I'm with you on that. I consider the time put into them and the hens lay, making them more valuable. $5-6 a bird is very reasonable for adults.

X2 I also think that if breeders could create a "guild" of sorts...it would help keep the prices reasonable for good quality birds. Giving a bird away for $2-3 is hurting everyone...just my humble opinion.

I agree, it seems there is always someone willing to buy a couple hundred eggs off ebay, hatch them, and sell them for 2 bucks for a quick dollar but for those who spend the time getting a good line of birds that are healthy and large will lose money because they are competing with with people that are undercutting everyone.
