There is an ad in our local bulleting for white homing pigeons. They are asking three dollars each. Is this a good price? I have just started looking into adding "Doves" AKA white homing pigeons as a means of income for my homestead. I don't know if they are chicks or full grown etc. I figure if they are grown they will just return to their previous home after I release them the first time.

You don't buy pigeons as chicks. Unflown young birds can be homed to your loft. Older birds and flown birds are homed to his loft. You breed babies out of them that will be homed to your loft.
The average price is 15$ each, I would question the quality of the birds @ 3$.

You won't know how well they home until you try. At $3 you aren't really losing anything if they turn out to be just pretty pigeons.

I to , am trying to find some white homers, do you all know where i might could find them,,,, thanks for any help, ru53, in ga.

I got a breeder pair of pure white homers for 35 bucks, working out good. Ask if you can see the birds first.
