Price of fertile eggs

Don't the French guineas require AI to get a good fertility? Have you hatched out any of your guinea eggs from these birds?

At that price i think you were lucky to get 7
Always buy from a known or reputable source
I buy no eggs from e-bay
Too many stories like 7 out of 60
I would definatley pay a little more for quality hatching eggs

I do apologize...I was told from my hubby's great uncle/aunt that these were the french..I did some research after you mentioned this and well....they are in fact the jumbos...I hatched all my flock from the eggs that his uncle/aunt gave me...and they have sold eggs for years now...From my flock, I have checked fertility before thinking about selling them...and all that I have cracked open to check are fertile...

Sorry that happened to you larry...I have alot of ppl sayin they can get the guinea eggs cheaper...but never mention the season that they bought them in nor the hatch rates...I have only 4 hens at the moment laying...and I checked the fertility for about 5-7 days before deciding to sell any.

It depends on who you get them from. Guinea Farm sells them between 26-39 dollars a dozen. I got sky blue eggs from him and not the first one hatched and I put them under a broody hen of mine that has hatched numerous guinea eggs with a 100% hatch rate. Like I said none of these hatched. i have bought some off of ebay with good results. Hope this helped.
