Price of hatching eggs question

I am wondering if $5-$8 per dozen on mixed breed eggs(with potententially a few pure bred BLRWs in the mix) is too much or just about normal..?

pretty normal. i paid $30 (australia dollars) for 6 pure bred silkie eggs (incuding express postage)
for a mutt bird that's decent

I have sent up to $80 on BLRW eggs only to loose them all to a house fire!!
