$13 for 50lbs of Blueseal layer pellets

Well, Purina Sunfresh Flock Raiser here is $12.30

however, I buy the 16% feed the feedstore mixes up themselves - it is $6.50 a 50# bag (came down from $6.60 last month) It has a "crumbles" texture - not pellets, has some grains in it, also.

The chickens love it, and I compared the ingredients and percent lists for the old layer mash I had been feeding, and this stuff is comparable - and 3 bucks less per bag - and much nicer looking, the layer mash was powder. The layer mash was 14% protein.

The Purina layer pellets around here are around $13.00 a bag.

Cracked corn (for occasional scratch) is 5.80 a 50# bag (whole corn is 5.50 a bag).

I love my feedstore

I just paid $15.59 for 50# of Purina Layena. That's with a 9% sales tax. We don't have tax on human food so next time I going to tell them I'm eating the Layena.

The organic is about $29.00 w/ tax.
I'm in an urban area so the store is a Feed/Pet/Gift kinda store. Not worth going farther to save a buck or two.

I paid 14 dollars for 50Lb bag of chick starter. It was from the hatchery. Next time I am going to the mill.
