Haku jumped into the lake. She swam around. The water cooled her dark fur. It felt good. Suddenly, something grabbed her from beneath. It dragged her down. She roared, but her voice was muffled by the water. Haku was being dragged down, down, down. She looked up at the glittering surface above. It was getting farther and farther away. Bubbles rose up from her mouth as she tried to fight. She roared. More bubbles rose from her mouth. Haku's heart beat slower and slower. I'm drowning she thought desperately. I'm going to die came the thought after it.

Tanga dragged the rabbit through the grass, her eyes sweeping the plains. She ducked into a completely hidden meerkat burrow, and trotted down, and down, and down. Her belly fur dragged along the ground, but not because the celling was low, but out of desperate submission.
"Well, well, well. Tanga. Wha'cha bring me?" A deep gruff voice asked. Tanga shoved the rabbit towards a huge ominous figure, laying casually beside an underground stream. "This skinny ol' thing?" The voice laughed, then it turned threatening. "I wanted an antelope." It snarled. Tanga nodded, her eyes huge. "Yes Xander. I will." She said quietly. The huge figure leaped up, snarling, "I TOLD YOU, NEVER TO USE MY NAME!" Tanga whimpered, "Yes." "NOW LEAVE!" He bellowed.
 
Haku looked up at the fading light for the last time. Then she closed her eyes, and felt her heart beat for the last time. Goodbye Stark. I'll miss you. Until the very end. she thought to him.

"NO!" Stark roared and leaped into the water, closing his jaws around her scruff. He yanked up, but she would budge. He let go, swam down into the depths to confront what was holding on to her.
 
Haku looked at him, shaking her head. It's useless she mouthed to him. I'll see you soon anyway she added sadly.
