Midnight stood by Leo's den silently.

Leo turned around, and walked back farther into the tunnel den. There the tunnel broke up into two parts, and Leo took the one on the right. There was no end to the tunnel, or so it seemed, and Leo crawled for several minutes before stopping.

Midnight wished he was still the size of that cub he had once been that had hidden in that den from Xander so many hundreds of times.

Leo sat, silent.

Toten yawned and stretched roaring slightly

Midnight tried to squeeze through the entrance and failed.
