Ami sat near him, still nervous. "He's telling the truth" she said.

Midnight glanced at her. "So you can read intentions, and tell truth from lies. Good. I haven't seen a lion like you in a while"

Layla snarled as she slunk from her den. "So, making my girls think your trustworthy, and then in the end, you'll stab them in the back!" She hissed, stepping infront of Mika. "Leave! I don't want anyone getting hurt!"

The orb flew at Xander's face, and circled him, like a force field. "Heehee!" He cackled. "Bad move!" He leaped at her, slashing his claws.

Midnight looked at her sadly. "I can't. Layla, I'd never hurt any of you. And I don't care if Xander said that or not. I'm a healer, not a fighter. I just want to help you. I want to free you all. You can join my pride, or stay a loner. I can prove I'm a healer, but unless you trust me, I can't"

Ami looked at him, them back at Layla.
