Need some sort of heating element, either inside the bucket or under it, depending on the actual waterer.How do you keep them from freezing?
I had a mess to clean up this morning after one of my 6 week old chickadees flew off the roost and landed on the water container causing it to spill everywhere . They were very upset at the mess it made and all of them got back on the roost! They don't know it yet but the waters going outside in a couple days!LolI personally see no advantages to having the food and water in the coop.
They take up space and can get knocked over making a mess at best and turning the coop bedding into a stinking quagmire at worst.
Others think differently, but having the feed and water out in the run where there is more space and spills are less of a problem works best for me.
