Pro Red Attacking New Silkie

Thank you all for the advice!! Yes, these are my only 3 chickens and we've only had the silkie for a couple of days now. I know that pecking the new chicken and establishing a new pecking order is part of integrating a new bird, but our silkie seems to be getting seriously injured.

Also, would it be a good idea to get another silkie to be a friend to this one we just got?

I would only do so if there was a second pen for the two silkies. Another silky would only give the bully another target. Because of their look and generally mellow temperaments silkies have a rough time unless raised with the flock as chicks.

Thanks everyone for your advice! I ended up giving her to a friend of mine who already had success with silkies in his flock. She's doing fantastic now and it's great that I gave her to a friend because I can visit her every time I head over! Thank you all once again for the help!!!
