I was wondering, the brooder light that we used when they were babies ...can I put a ceramic bulb in it to use over the water in the coop for winter to keep it from freezing?

Or do I need to get a different type of lamp to hold the ceramic bulb....

BTW I am in Puget Sound area, N of Seattle in case you needed to know for temp wise.

Just make sure the socket is ceramic. It probably is since the red lights get hot too. You should be just fine.

I heart my ceramic bulb...
