Sooo I have Muscovy ducks. My question is about my drake. He has a neck issue. Is it an issue ? Is my question. He was taken by a bobcat this spring but came back I lost 5 other ducks that did not come back Anywho the bobcat has been dispatched. Delicious I would say 😀. His wound never really healed It gets better then gets worse. I cannot touch him He is friendly but is pretty much Ferrell He drinks eats and mates normally. I did try to spray wound heal on it. lol. That was a failure. I have been watching him for issues only any suggestions

does he spend time in water? If so, this could be the reason it is not healing well. I'd be inclined to keep him out of water or in a smaller enclosed area til it feathers out.

Some day if you have the opportunity, you may want to try lynx (obviously where legal to harvest). It is very light colored meat and very good flavor.

Can you walk him into the coop and catch him? @ruthhope that is just what I was getting at. @Greta A if you can examine that area you may find that is exactly what It is carnucles
When my drake and my gander got into it the feathers that got yanked out of his neck caused carnucles to form there.
