Hello, my family got ducks about 5 months ago and now has one female, one male, both pekins. The plan, as i’d been told, was to let the girl hatch out eggs, but i’ve looked it up and pekins don’t go broody much. She’s probably laid around 13? eggs so far, with a main nest of at least 11 last time I checked, and a few others scattered around.
Would it be better to incubate the eggs in an incubator? Or what are chances she will sit on them, or could the eggs go bad?
Are ducks like chickens, where the first eggs they lay are smaller and shouldn’t be incubated? Hers seem larger than chicken eggs, some about the same size, but some much larger.
