Probably being paranoid but how do you know if a duck is a little sick, or very sick?

I just went to measure the greenhouse, its 8x11 And I'm planning to extend the shelves in 'floors' so there's a few levels.

On the way to measure it I also realized that in the back area of the house, we're replacing the carpet with wood. So.. I know I have options in the mean time

It'll just take some cleaning out and slick talking on my part to persuade

The best way to tell if a duckling or a chick is sick is to weigh it... Once they start eating they should make daily gains, so any weight loss or lack of gain is an indication that they are sick. Weighing every few days is how I monitor the health of my peachicks. I have a bunch of different colored zip ties and each chick gets one when it hatches, then is weighed and weighed every few days after they start really eating.

I weigh mine in grams because it's so much easier to calculate doses of medication they might need. Here is a peachick:

I also have done it with ducklings, just not as often.
