Probably gonna have to buy a turkey after all

We're having Thanksgiving at my mother-in-law's. I blurted out that I want the turkey carcass for my chickens. Well, my sister-in-law said her husband wants it to make some kind of stew or soup or something his grandmother used to make. I'm gonna fight over it if I have to, but I'll probably just give in and buy us a turkey for ourselves as well so that my chickens can have the carcass...LOL The chickens are so spoiled!

I take it home and make stock. The chickens can eat the mooshy bones AFTER I'm done with them!
My chickens still know where they stand on the todem pole around here

Hmmm .... if I had to chose between someone who wanted the carcass for soup vs. someone who was gonna feed it to their chickens, sorry, the chickens lose. I wouldn't start a family feud over it.

But, when they ask me for more eggs, I'll say...sorry...they're not laying right now since they didn't have any of the protein from the turkey carcass....lol

We cut up and joke and poke fun at each other all the time...we have so much fun.

Yeah, I feel so "sorry" for you guys... having to make a turkey.

We are going to a friend's house to celebrate her health and my daughter is going to her MIL's (She's an AWFUL cook.) My friend that is hosting dinner on Thursday has leukemia so we are thrilled to be celebrating with them. On Friday my daughter and family will come to my house for our traditional spread and then on Sunday she is making her own family dinner so she can have her own left overs.

Yep, we do like our Thanksgivings and alllll that it entails.

I hadn't thought of hitting the other up for their turkey bones..... guess I will be making nice over dinner now.

Bwahahahaha, I hadn't thought of asking for the bones but I am TOTALLY going there!

ok, so your saying that i could throw out the carcass to my chickens??? cooked bones and all??? hum,,, i guess my prob would be that mysons chihuahua would join them and that wouldn be good. Hum, gonna have to think on this one

I would make the soup, then give the rest to the Chickens! lol Me & my tummy first!

I have 2 turkey Carcasses in the freezer already for them! lol
local Seniors group donated to the chickens!--- guess they liked their fresh eggs!
