Probably the dumbest question ever, but...

Ah Cindy From PA, I am so sorry about you loosing on of your guineas to a fox! That is sad. Yeah I'd let them chill for a while til MR. Foxy decides that if he wants another meal he better head else where. Good luck.

Daylily

Thanks, daylily. I would have a ton of guineas if I could, but I still would miss them when they got eaten. Unfortunately the fox was at their pen again today, but seemed to figure out quickly that it couldn't get them! My guineas are not very happy being penned up, but fox pup season has just started & we have tons of them. Not easy to get rid of them with houses around either. I have to let them out soon, but soon I won't have any left.

Can you call wildlife people to trap and release the foxes if you cannot kill them yourself? In our state we can kill or trap them if they are causing harm to our property and guineas and chickens fall into that category. I would absolutely get rid of the foxes. I lost two not too long ago, so I know what you mean. Tonight I threatened mine that I would put them in the neighbors stewpot if they didn't come in. But of course I don't mean it.

They just cannot stay cooped up forever. But I wouldn't give them to the fox either. Let me know what your wildlife people say.
