Does anyone happen to know how long to continue putting the Probiotic & Electrolites in the little chicks water? I have 1 thats about 7 wks old, 3 about a month, & 1 about 1 1/2 wks.
 
I only do it for the first few days after they come home. After that it's just plain, fresh water. Unless I have any with pasty butt then I use a little ACV to help clear it up.
 
Do electrolites help calm the baby chicks?
Can you give them to older chickens?
What can I give my chicks to keep them calm or not stressed?

Electrolyte's have no calming function. The thought behind giving it to stressed birds is to encourage them to drink so they will stay hydrated and keep their body electrolyte levels where they should be. And yes, you can give it to any age bird.

There is really nothing you give your chicks to keep them calm. Their environment should do that. If they have a proper brooder with enough room, warmth and food they should be fine. If something about their environment is stressing them that should be corrected.
