Probiotics with antibiotics

I know, the problem is that geese are very hard on. Their water source, stepping and swimming in it. I was already administering capsules and tablets and wanted to stay within something like that, as my post above had said. Thank you though. Probiotics are all pretty much the same and if someone is in a similar situation as mine I'm sure they'd like to hear that this route worked great. Way better than water additive and were veterinary guaranteed sourcing fir viability if organisms which was extra comforting.

That is a good point, regarding viability. I've considered this from a human perspective and stick with fermented foods for myself, and never considered viability when using probiotics for animals.

Yeah, I strongly doubt the viability of water additives. I imagine electrolytes and some (water soluble not light sensitive) vitamins are what is effective in most of these additives. In the veterinary field there are studies comparing product viability and even some veterinary products prove to be low viability. This combined with the desire to not fill their filthy buckets multiple times a day had me go the capsule route. One more capsule was not trouble at all as he was getting 4 others a day and I was more confident in it's dose and efficacy.

I think the reality is no one can account for the temperature and other variables while the product is in transit.

Absolutely, that is something no one can guarantee. But I find it hard to believe any or even close to enough survive after being mixed with water and setting outside in variable temperatures. I trust Proviable and other veterinary approved products. If nothing more than their original guaranteed number of cfus and extensive studying of viability and shelf life.
