problem during zipping: please advise

If it bleeds when you peel a little bit, then give it more time. I've been impatient before, and found that the yolk sac wasn't quite fully absorbed, and the bleeding didn't stop when the chick was helped out of the shell. If it's still breathing, you're ok... just keep the humidity up, and the 'bator closed, and it will just take a little longer to hatch.

Congrats! on a good hatch.

It is always sad that a few don't hatch but a 100% hatch is not all that common....even on ones own eggs, from my experience.

Sounds like you did great!

We had two chicks hatch. The first one did need a little assistance. I have a duck egg left. The ones that didn't make it weren't fully formed or were malformed severely. The two that hatches are doing very well:)
