To your original question....I have seen combiotic or penicillin do this even with sterile needle and solution. As far as Baytril or Bio-Myacin 200 I have not experienced any such instances and I do use injections quite a bit. ALWAYS use clean sterile needles and if you do use them on multiple injections immerse them in between in alcohol at least and use a good alcohol swab of the injection site and you should not have any problems.
I only inject .25 of 1 cc on a 5 lb bird....smaller can get as low as .1 of 1 cc when a pound or under. Do not inject more than is necessary as this may lend a cause to creating a burned area. So far I haven't noticed any of this in my birds doing what I described above. I use same amounts in the Bio-Myacin 200 as Baytril.
Another reason I like small doses is that you can inject them daily this way. A lot of times when I use Bio-Myacin I inject every 3rd day if necessary and I might bump up just a little in dose if I do the 3 day method.
