By no means am I trying to thread jack from the OP but I too have some questions that hopefully you guys can help me with. I started with 34 chukar eggs. One hatched on day 21 which is right about on time. The second one hatched that night. However the second one looked to have his colon coming out a good portion and he passed soon after hatching. The third hatched the next day and also had his colon stuck to the shell. I have three temp gauges and two hydrometers in there and I seem to be in the specs at all times. I pulled the two vent holes on top when I took them out of the turner on day 20 and there is a forces air fan. I have read everywhere that chicks should be kept in there for three days after hatching. I come home today (the third day) to put my chick in its new home to find out he had passed. What am I doing wrong. I have has some chicks pipe but not hatch with little to no room to maneuver once I broke them open. Like they're too big for their shell or something. It's now day 23 and out of 34 eggs I have no birds. Please help.
