problems with egg laying

I've been wondering if any chicken is
suppose to lay during the winter because my faverolls
and silver laced have not been laying and its been
about 2-4 week now and the only birds that are laying
are my ducks and my white rock bantams and thats
not a good pot

You can expect less eggs unless you give them additional lighting. Is the price of the extra Hydro ( That is a Canadian term for the electric company for American viewers) worth the extra eggs you will get? Only if you have lots of laying hens.

We don't provide any extra light and we've been getting significantly less eggs and we're at a much lower latitude that you. A couple seemed to have stopped entirely as well.

Are they molting? That might influence egg production as well.
