i bought an Rcon 3 egg incubatour but the turner was not working so was replaced with a new one . that one too is not working, the moter again
has anyone else had this problem. i'm beginning to feel its something i'm doing wrong. this could not happen to me 2 times in a row.
so if anyone knows how to solve this problem please let me know as i have eggs waiting and are getting old.
thanking you all in advance.

thanks thats all i needed to know.
now which one should i get to replace it.
can anyone help with chosing a incubator on a small buget.
or will have to stick to homemade incy till i can save up for a more expensive one.
its just that i have some expensive eggs and i wanted to give them the best chance.
i will be gutted if none hatch.

Don't take offense at this question, but have you removed the little plastic tray from inside the incubator? I have read a couple posts where folks have forgotten to do this, and that tray is to put in there for lockdown, because it lifts the eggs above the turner parts so they don't turn then.

You put that tray back into the incubator for lockdown. (I almost forgot to put it back in for mine....)

I highly recommend Brinsea incubators, although they are pricey. There's a sale on them right now, so perhaps you can afford a Brinsea MiniAdvance incubator. It holds 7 eggs and has an auto-turner. If you buy the less expensive Mini Eco model, you have to turn the eggs yourself.

yes i did. and this one is a replacement. the shop i got it from doe's not give refunds thats why i'm asking about other incubators.
only problem is it will take a week till they order. i have eggs in it and ive only got the ones i made and there not holding there temps. so i'm in a bit of a pickle.
just looking up prices and see how much more i would have to pay.
thanks

I just bought a new RCom 3 egg incubator and I think I have the same problem, it beeped to turn the eggs after 3 hours but the eggs didnt turn

When I next hear the beep Im going to lift the lid and see if i can feel the rollers turning, it's holding temperature perfectly though.

Perhaps this is a worldwide problem with this model??

i know how you feel. i have just come back from the shop that sold me mine and to my surprise have offerd me my money back. i still cannot believe the second one i got had the same problem. i can tell you i will not be buying Rcom products again.
so im trying to get one on ebay. the thing is i had eggs in it. ive made one out of the thing i had quick time. im not holding much hope but at least i tried.
hope you have better luck.
if i had not looked on this forum i would had no hope of trying to rescue my eggs.

It sounds like the whole current batch of them may be faulty. I only have one egg in mine so Im going to incubate it right through and just hand turn 3 times a day. It comes with a 12 month warranty so Im going to phone the place I got it from and let them know and also tell them that users in other parts of the world are having the same problem, perhaps when they replace it they can test the replacement for me before they ship just to make sure everything is ok.

Good luck with your eggs, I hope you find another incubator thats suitable for you, I know your not keen on another RCom but have you seen the King Suro?, looks great and does everything.

I can highly recommend the Rcom Suro King. I'm getting ready to buy another one. Plug and play...totally automatic including the humidity control. Never had a problem except a loose power cord once...and I made sure that would never happen again.
