Well I did everything with the suggestions that several people had commented on my post.
there was no eggs yesterday or today, I did put their nesting beds on the floor like suggested, and then I put pine wood shavings in their nests. of course they were real noisy and they got in the nesting boxes and scratched at the wood shavings, made a mess, but that is what chickens do I guess. So I need other suggestions, am I doing something wrong or do I just have to give it time. I thought once they started laying I would get at least one or two a day. Suggestions please.

thank you Ewaugamam

I have one idea if you have an old bucket put it on its side on the floor and put some nest material in it.Put stuff beside your bucket so it doesn't roll around.See if your girls will lay in that bucket, sometimes it's a privacy thing and inside a bucket is pretty private to a chicken believe it or not.

After I got my first egg, I didn't get another for a few days, and then they started coming closer together over the following 2 weeks until she began laying everyday or every other day. My next layer didn't start until 2 weeks after the first started. There's always the fact that it's summer, and a lot of breeds will decrease production during hot weather to conserve energy and water, I suppose. That may also be a factor. I don't know if someone suggested putting decoy eggs in the nest box already, but it helped my girls get in the mood and lay in the right place. I'm sure someone already said it, though. At any rate, it's nothing you are doing wrong.

thank you SunHwaKwon I got another egg today, I also went down to this little fruit stand today and got scraps for them, I just have to be patient I guess. Thank you all so much for your remarks.
