They would have been 5 weeks old tomorrow. So, 27.4 lbs of chicken all cleaned and cut up -- NO skin, but including the necks and giblets.
So, is 2.74 lbs dressed/cleaned weight good or bad for a 5 week old Cornish Cross?
By the way, I can't explain the weight discrepancy in 24 hours -- yesterday I averaged a little over 2 lbs each. They didn't grow 3/4s of a lb overnight. I weighed 3 times today, tared and zero-ed the scale each time just to be sure I was doing it right, and its a really high quality medical scale that I paid about $400 for.
