Processed first turkey today! Have a couple questions....

Hello,
We processed our first bbw turkey today a little sooner than planned because his legs were giving out.
I am wondering because he was young.... 10 weeks.... if that would cause it to be harder to pluck?
From what was described, it should be really easy but I had a lot of small feathers that were hard to get out. Rather than submersing him, we just dumped a few gallons of water on him, maybe that was a bad idea but I heard people have success with dry plucking anyway.
 
We processed out 30 last year and dunked them in 150 degree water...for 45. Seconds made plucking ALOT easier
