Processin: Hot water? Or Dry?

Today, I put my first quail eggs in the incubator and I have also processed my first quail (1 bully male that had to go).

I did it dry, then I remember, would it be better to first boil some water and dip it before pulling feathers (like chicken)?

Don't boil the water, but hot, about 160 Farenheit. The article below shows a few different ways to process.

You don't even need to dip quail in hot water ..you can easily pull the feathers out dry.

I scald when I'm using the plucker. I only use the plucker if I'm processing more than 12 at a time.
