I have nine birds to kill and process but I cannot find a processor in Southern Indiana. I live in Floyds Knobs Indiana. Does anyone know of a processor reasonably close to me? I will probably be processing about ten birds every three months or so, making this very important. You help and advice will be appreciated.

I think there's a guy who goes by "daveholobaugh" who can do it and he's really close to you. Price is good too. Any reason you don't call him?

I'm only teasing a little. There may be real reasons why you can't do the work yourself. Your spouse, neighbors, state officials or stomach may not appreciate the work or you may be physically unable. But if nobody is standing in your way, it's really no big deal. A little hot water, a knife and a Saturday morning will see you through. Maybe put some plastic down. Then bury the remains deep in your compost pile.

If you are willing/able and have questions don't hesitate to PM me. If you think I'm a smart alec, please hesitate to PM me.

We are in Southern Indiana, close to Santa Claus. To my knowledge the closest processor to us is in Bowling Green, KY. We started raising our own CX last year. We are currently on our third batch of 100 and process them ourselves; we never could have done it without this forum. It is a wealth of information. I was hesitant at first but it really isn't that bad. We keep improving our setup and our speed is getting better each time. Feel free to PM. Good Luck!
