What annoys me too is that itwas 7:30pm-- and they are stopping in like I"m a grocery store. TO buy at will.

Depends on the age and the breed. THere are recipes to deal with older birds that are liekly to be tough. Coq au vin . OR pressure cook. I dont waste anything here.

My current goal is to process all by 4 months, except for likely rooster candidates.
.
yeah they are 8 and 7 weeks right now one looks like a leghorn one like a New Hampshire or sex link, and two bantam mixes

Don't think that that is a marketing expert in front of a group of college students. Seems more like an animal rights activist preaching to a group of paid actors.

Not that I disagree with the message, but I'll not be snowed by someone talking about willful ignorance while she's counting on the viewer to engage in exactly that to believe what she is saying.

No I think this was meant to be a shock therapy session. She may well be a reformed ad woman who got sick of shoveling the deception to people. I know the feeling. As a Graphic Designer there are some companies that I would never seek employment from because I disagree so deeply with their policies and methods and what they sell to the public that I couldn't work for them and sleep at night even if they paid me a princely wage.

I don't think that people were to actually believe that she was legit. Definitely a shock therapy session.

I have more pens and still not enough room . . . 3 more to freezer camp this morning. 2 toms and a hen. Raining tomorrow so maybe a few more on Firday.

I have one back up tom left for the BR. Every time I keep a back up something is sure to happen to one, and I am grateful that I kept a back up. SO hope you can find a way to keep a back up.

Quote: Good for you Henny Pen-- you just made my day knowing there is one more honest person.

I have taught my kids to be ad savy--- ads are meant to "part you from your money"-- what infomation did they NOT tell you?? How is the ad misleading?

I often have trouble selling horses because I am truthfull-- they think I am protraying the horse inaccurately and the horse is worse than I am saying. I cant be honest and get horses sold-- so I'm getting out of horses.

I have learned that I have to exaggerate my symptoms for a doctor so he will take them at the right level. Most doctors automaticaly discount your symptoms 10 to 20%. To get them to consider the right level of pain or sickness I found that I had to exaggerate by that much. When I find a doc that really takes me at face value I hang onto them and quit exaggerating. Very frustrating to an honest person.

We had a lemon of a car once. It broke down on the way to my brother-in-laws house. Engine seized. The only way to get another car was to sell this one. Problem was this was the second engine. It was engineered poorly. Even a new engine for this car was only going to last 3 years. We couldn't look anyone in the face and tell them they should buy it. We had to have my BIL sell it for us. Fortunately he ran into a Know-It-All Jerk who didn't make any of us feel guilty selling it too.

Depends on the actual temp of the refig-- my top level is almost a freezer and the bottom is about 45.

And your comfort level. I often cook it up and then test it for flavor-- if it is not food enough I toss it . . . to the chickens.
