So it seems I’m am going to have to process my first two quail they are 7 weeks old today and these 2 Roos have become to much for the females and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me to make the process easier and faster i am not looking forward to the actual killing part but the rest should be fine I have a brand new unused pair of sharp scissors to did it with. Thank you to anyone who helps.

Take your time handling and calming the bird. Gently place the shears until they're exactly where you want them. The bird should remain calm at this point. Don't hesitate, cut hard and pull firmly at the same time. It will be over instantly.
Ok where on the neck should I cut, anywhere, base of the skull, the middle? I know how to do the rest I have read your article of how to process quail like 6 times as well as your article for using every part. Thank you for the help as always.

Anywhere on the neck. Once the head is off (or the neck is broken), the quail is gone.

I was able to actually get it done today wasn’t able to get to it Wednesday but it was pretty easy and had your article up and right there while doing it I mangled the first one while spatchcocking the second one I did whole and it was much better looking once done. Thank you for your help on this thread and your article it helped so so much @Nabiki

Congratulations! It never gets easy, but it does get easier, in my experience.
