Processing question, yellow inside

    One of the birds I was skinning today had an injury to it's shoulder, a little bloody but the meat surrounding the injury was sort of yellowish. I thought it may be an infection and discarded the bird, did I just waste a chicken or can something like that ruin the meat?

    Sounds like it was just a bruised wing. I would have just cut that part out, and saved the rest.

    BUT... better safe than sorry!
