I agree that it is male. The shiny, pointy feathers at the shoulders are diagnostic.

Dark red shoulder patches and large set of comb and wattles. And not to miss those male saddles either. Unfortunately, it is screaming male.

I also noticed some green coming through in the tail feathers yesterday!! He’ll be pretty none the less!
