Great
Hatch 7 out of 12 (three were duds, one died in shell). Beautiful Babies!

Ok my daughter counted them wrong; there are actually 9 live chicks, which means I can't count now a days. Sorry!

LOL

Can't wait until they grow and we see if their MOM's pass on that Green Egg Gene.

Hey Lockedheart do you have photos of the hens/roo on the forum. Just curious what they look like. I know I probably seen them already somewhere, but the old mind can't remember.

I don't have any good ones of Olives Blue daughter.

I just hatched some and was hoping for a splash but all mine were blue. They are very pretty!

I have eggs from Karen/Lockedhearts due April 30th. I ordered BBS Orps but she was kind enough to include 5 of her green project eggs too. I know you were asking for pics of them out of their shells, but these proto-chicks will have to do for now from me:

There are two project eggs in the photo-upper left and lower right, with an EE egg bottom middle and three normal BBS eggs for comparison. The eggs are pale green with yellow undertones, no blue. I forgot to ask her if the girls had standard orp straight combs and where she got Olive, the original mom green layer from. I will post photos of the babies when they arrive.
