Projects to use the old heat lamps for? Dehydrator.

All the chicks no longer need a heat lamp, in fact it's gotten somewhat hot these days...

With that, I've been trying to come up with a neat project I can use the heat lamps for. I have two 150W red bulbs.
I was thinking of making a dehydrator, but I also heard that you're really not meant to be using any heat for them, else it's just a convection oven.

My dehydrator uses heat and forced air. The temp can be adjusted from 95 to 145.

Your idea could work, but you need to know the temp at various distances from the lamp. To dry herbs, you'd want to use low heat, like 95 F. Making jerky, you'd use about 145 F.
