Prolapsed duck penis

I just noticed this today, unfortunately late as it’s already turning black, I had dealt with this in him before a couple years ago but was able to deal with it as I caught it early, this time I’m not sure how long it’s been out for or what I can do? A vet is not an option as I don’t have the funds

Is there no way around that at all? I read somewhere that soaking in epsom salt and applying antibacterial ointment, the dead tissue should fall off on its own and things possibly be alright, not sure the accuracy of that though. I’ll do whatever has to be done, just worries me

Some ducks get lucky and it dries up and falls off. Other ducks the infection spreads and kills the duck. Can you post some pictures of it?

@casportpony is more expert, but I would thin you would be in danger of further infection if you don't cut it off.

Please do not cut it off at home. Without pain medication or sedation it will be severely painful for the duck and you may introduce more bacteria without a sterile environment. He needs an avian vet or farm vet.

This is not true, it can be done at home without pain medication & sedation.
