Good day! My hen just laid her first egg and we had a hard time since her vent prolapsed. We had to help her get the egg out.
After we got it out, we soak her with warm water to clean the prolapsed vent and gently push it back.
Now, her vent is a little red and is discharging white substance with a little bit of blood.
How do we help her and what to do with a previously prolapsed vent?

Can you post some photos?

If the tissue is still exposed, then keep it most with ointment like anti-inflammatory cream, organic honey, Prep H, etc.
If she's not lethargic, you can give her clean ups and soaks in a warm bath, add epsom salts if you have them.

I would give her extra calcium to help with retention. 1/2 Caltrate or 1 Tums once a day for a couple of days.
Keep her hydrated. Let her eat if she's willing.
The blood is a bit concerning. Hard to know if it's from a tear or just from laying the first egg.
