I was worried at first because it took longer than most people’s drakes. I don’t blame him though, he failed to walk for several days when he was a duckling.

He is the same happy bathing eating and pissed cuz everyone is breeding and he's owned by him self. Its still hanging :-( sorry for late response I'm not internet free day

You have him separated from his females?

Yes I was out side when it happens and seen the whole thing....he has been separated and was getting Epson salt baths and I did put it back in several times....but he just poops it out.

So how does it look can you post some pics? He really does need a rest from the ladies no matter how much he protests. Give him some cool water to bath in maybe that will help and if you have prep H that is suppose to help with swelling.

My drake had a shrivelled nasty bit dangling from the end for a couple of weeks late spring. I put some salve (homemade with a bunch of herbals) on it every couple of days. He's back to normal and brutalizing the girls again.

Getting smaller during non mating season I can see, but they don't fall off and regrow like some people have posted. If they did, I would find them all over my yard.

There’s a mental image! Given I have a large number of drakes... lmao at going outside one day and finding little pink corkscrews everywhere....
(It’s probably something my disabled female duck, Mills would enjoy in her wildest dreams!.. she’s particularly eager to have one of the drakes scratch her itch at the moment... the one in the run she spends her day time hours in isn’t taking any of her many, many hints )

But anyway, a back yard full of discarded penises,.. boggles the mind !
