Hi all! One of my runners seems to have a slight problem. On Sunday I noticed his member sticking out and so I cleaned the area, popped it back in and let him be. However, yesterday it had popped back out again so I cleaned it and tried again. Today it was still out and I'm really worried. I'd say there's about an inch sticking out and I don't know what else to do. I have been using a spray called leucillin, which is an antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral spray. He is still eating, drinking and socializing as normal.

It's night time now but I plan on bringing him indoors tomorrow for a bath to really clean the area and see what we can do. This happened last year and fortunately we sorted it instantly but this time has proven to be more difficult. We can't keep him at home to separate him as my partner's mum has a puppy now, also there are no vets local to me that help ducks. What can I do at home that will help? I'm so worried about my little guy... 😭

Main thing is to keep it moist. Are you keeping him from the females while he is having this probem.
Unfortunately I have nowhere to keep him separately. When this happened last year, we took him inside for a few hours and he was fine. However, my partner's mum has a puppy now so we can't bring him in for as long. I'm going to bring him in for a bath, so that'll give him some time away from the girls, but I'll see if I can convince her to let me keep him in for a night or two 🙁

A dog crate away form the puppy would work.
Unfortunately we don't have the room in the house. The puppy is 8 months and not really trained. There is no room in the house and the garden isn't an option either as the puppy is out there quite a lot... Would putting a divider in my run work at all or does he need to be far enough that he can't see the girls?

Morning update: it's 7am right now and I've let the flock out in their run. Dopey (the affected male) has eaten, gone for a swim in clean water and had a drink. He pooped and his whole penis came out (which was pretty horrifying) but it went back in instantly. There is still about an inch hanging out so I am going to call around the local vets and see if any can help 🙁
