She is just standing by her bowl with her eyes closed. Opens them occasionally and takes a bite. Anyone know after that kind of a procedure how long till they are feeling better? Also, how often do you use the perpetration h?

You can switch to vitamin E capsules, pop with a pin and just spread the oil on her vent. The vitamin E works much quicker than the P H. You don't want to feed her layer feed. She needs a break for a bit. You can also give her a human Calcium 500mg with vitamins D 4000iu, crushed and added to a little bit of water that she can drink in a short period of time. This will help her build up her store of calcium and hopefully keep this from happening again.

I went through this with a goose and it took her 4 days before she really wanted to eat normally. She drank like crazy so I wasn't concerned.

She is not drinking. Any way to get fluids in her other than water?
You can crush the tablet in a little water and use a dropper to give it to her drop by drop. You could also look up how to tube feed her. Casportpony has some great info on how to do this. Me...I'm a coward and would do it the dropper way. You just have to be careful she doesn't aspirate the liquid.
