Prolapsed Vent Won't Stay Put

and updates on this? I am dealing with the exact same thing as others are here. Cant get the prolapse to stay in.

Any updates? What happen with these chickens? I'm on day 6 of a prolapsed vent. It took is looking smaller and the vent itself is paler than it was, I took that as a sign it was less inflamed. I have been pushing the tissue back in about 4 to 5 times a day. Every the she poops it comes back out. She's in a small dog cage in basement, but has laid 4 eggs throughout this whole process. Vet told me to keep doing what I'm doing. I also apply prep H to it. Trimmed she feathers, clean her up etc. How long can this last for ?

i had one, no idea how she made it. put her in a small cage in darker room. unless i fed her. she didnt want to eat much either(had to force feed her the first week). Gave her extra calcium in her food, and sugar on the bumm. kept putting it back in and putting ointment type stuff(honey/silver)on it to stay wet after cleaning with cloroxidine to get all the poop off. part of it did die and fall off, after that it stayed in and she is out with everyone and still lays. no idea how she made it though but it was a good 2-3 weeks in the cage babying her.
